Ebun has over 30 years of professional experience in leadership, programme management and human resource development. She worked for 20 years at Council of Churches in Sierra Leone (CCSL), serving as its first female General Secretary for 11 years managing programmes and managing staff. She served in various leadership positions at the regional level including a Board Member for Fellowship of Christian Council and Churches in West Africa (FECCIWA), Member of the Global Reference Group of Bread for the World Germany (BftW), Member for the Faith and Justice Network (West Africa) and currently member of the Board of Trustees of the Young Christian Women Association (YWCA) in Sierra Leone as well as Secretary and Member of the Eminent Women Peace Mediator-Sierra Leone.
Ebun has significant experience in mediation and conflict resolution gained from studies at the Eastern Mennonite University’s STAR program and engaging in various mediation and conflict resolution efforts in West Africa. During her tenure at CCSL as staff and General Secretary, she acquired skills and experience in organizational change and development where she interacted with Heads of Churches of various denominations, Government agencies, Non-Governmental organisations in Sierra Leone and West Africa through FECCIWA, and being a member of the Global Reference Group (BftW). Ebun has served in other leadership and influential positions as Education Director for the Baptist Convention of Sierra Leone (BCSL), Lecturer at Milton Margai Teachers College of Education and Senior Teacher at Services Secondary School. She brings this rich experience to the assignment including organizational development, organizational structure and functions, leadership and decision making process, human resource development, and organizational capacity development among others.
Ebun is academically qualified with Master’s Degree in Educational Administration majoring in Sociology, Psychology and Educational Administration from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone (1995-2000); Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Education from Njala University College, University of Sierra Leone (1979- 1983). Other training qualifications acquired include trauma awareness and recovery, women and peace building, the practice of restorative justice, psychosocial work, and institutional development
