Public Health and Health Systems Strengthening Leader

Dr. Teresa is a Public Health Specialist with a wide understanding in Health Systems Management and Health Service Management. Teresa has a long-standing experience of working with the Ministry of Health in various capacities both at service delivery point (Health Facility level) and National level. She has wide understanding of the Ministry of Health structures, systems and policies that govern service delivery at various levels including at the community and national levels.

Dr. Teresa is a Public Health Specialist who has worked with many international organizations and government of Kenya agencies. They include Ministry of Health, National Aids Control Council, Global Fund, AMREF Kenya, Kiambu County Government, Kirinyaga County Government, National Irrigation Board (NIB), Aga Khan University Hospital, Daystar University, World Vision International, Intrahealth International, PATH International Kenya, DSW, Tear Fund, Transparency International, University of Nairobi, and Kenyatta National and Referral Hospital.

Dr. Teresa has served in various leadership and influential positions with national and International organizations, and Government agencies including Health and Health Systems Management Leader at CODELP East Africa Consulting Ltd (current), Project Director at the University of Nairobi, Team Leader Human Resource for Health at IntraHealth International,

National Health and Nutrition Coordinator at World Vision Kenya, She has provided Health Services with the following health service providers: Ministry of Health Headquarters, Kenyatta National and Referral Hospital, and Daystar University. Dr. Teresa has also undertaken several consultancy assignments in Health Systems Management and Maternal and Child Health including Trainer of Trainers for Malaria Case Management. She is a scholar who has lectured and trained in the following institutions of higher learning: Kenyatta University-School of Public Health, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology-School of Public Health, Kisii University-School of Public Health, and CORAT Africa Training Institute,

Dr. Teresa is a holder of MBchB, Master of Public Health degree and PhD degree in Public Health. She has been able to acquire additional skills training in the following areas: Trainer of Trainers in Malaria Case Management, Cervical cancer screening and management, Project Cycle Management, Revitalization of Community Health Interventions, Community Therapeutic Care Training (CTC) and Programming and implementation Training.
